Caslon
Product Description
Caslon is an inkjet print system designed by FFEI for labelling applications.
Caslon is based on the Xaar 1001 greyscale printhead technology consisting of 4 printbars, one for each of the C,M,Y,K colours, each with 5 (330mm print width) or 6 (410mm print width) printheads.
The Caslon system can be used as a stand-alone digital print engine or incorporated as a module into an existing Nilpeter FA Line press; creating a combination press that delivers finished product at a rate of 25m per minute. Faster speeds are available for less demanding applications.

Caslon jets Arquus UV curable ink formulated by FFEI for label applications. The ink is partially cured between each colour, a process referred to as ‘pinning’, to control the ink spread. A final cure is achieved with an iron-doped UV lamp to fix the ink and ensure optimal quality output.
